12Cr21Ni5Ti (1Cr21Ni5Ti) is a dual-phase stainless steel developed in the former Soviet Union.The steel is designed to save nickel instead of 1Cr18Ni9Ti, [SCALE STEEL]but has better mechanical properties than the latter, especially higher strength.

12Cr21Ni5Ti steel has good corrosion resistance in oxidizing acid and organic acid, and can be used instead of 1Cr18Ni9Ti steel.Because the steel contains stabilized element titanium and is a two-phase structure, there is [SCALE STEEL]generally no tendency of intergranular corrosion.

12Cr21Ni5Ti steel has good weldability and can be welded by various methods.The performance of the weld metal is similar to that of the base metal when the welding filler material with the same composition as the base metal is[SCALE STEEL] used.For manual welding (SMAW), an 18-8 type austenitic stainless steel electrode without a stable element can also be used.
Cold And Hot Working Properties：
The cold and hot working properties of 12Cr21Ni5Ti steel are good.Thermal processing temperature range 1050 ~ 800℃.The best thermoplasticity occurs at 950 ~ 1050℃.Due to the higher yield strength, cold processing, especially pipe flares and sheet deep drawing are slightly worse than austenitic stainless steel, [SCALE STEEL]but once the yield deformation, you can be smooth processing.
12Cr21Ni5Ti steel can be used to replace 1Cr18Ni9Ti steel, mostly used to manufacture both oxidation resistance acid corrosion, and requires higher strength of equipment or components, used in the aviation industry for the [SCALE STEEL]manufacture of aircraft engine shell and rocket engine combustion outdoor wall.
