1.2738 is a commonly used German standard plastic die steel, usually referred to as 738.The more popular name for this kind of steel is 718, which is the product name of Sweden One Win 100.718 general hardening hardening[SCALE STEEL] to HRC28~36, processed into a mold after direct use, no further heat treatment.The pre-hardened 718 is called 718H.

(1) excellent performance of polishing and photoetching;
(2) good machining performance;
(3)High purity and uniformity;
(4) uniform[SCALE STEEL] hardness;
(5) The subsequent nitriding treatment or local flame quenching can improve the surface strength and surface wear resistance, and reduce the surface failure.
Compared with the traditional plastic die steel P20, 718 has better toughness and hardenability due to the addition of 1% nickel, and it performs better in large cross section size molds.This steel is suitable for large, especially the thickness of more than 400mm, requiring uniform hardness, high toughness and good [SCALE STEEL]surface polishing performance of plastic molds, such as TV frame and back shell, copy machine shell, bumper, shock absorber, instrument panel and other large molds, as well as trash can mold, die casting mold frame, etc..
