AL-6XN is a typical 6 molybdenum (high molybdenum content 6.3%) super austenitic stainless steel. Resistance to chloride pitting, crevice corrosion and stress corrosion is better than that of Series 3 stainless steels at a lower cost [SCALE STEEL]than corrosion-resistant nickel-based alloys. It has good corrosion resistance in a variety of severe corrosive environments, and is suitable for perchloride aqueous solutions and chloride corrosion environments. For use in a variety of perchlorinated environments: bleach (sodium hypochlorite, chlorine dioxide), halogens and salts or chemicals with high seawater content.
